What's In It?

Synephrine: is a beta-1 adrenergic agonist that stimulates the breakdown of fat, also known as lipolysis. Synephrine is also known to reduce appetite and increase thermogenesis.

Octopamine: is a beta-3 adrenergic agonist and is a potent stimulator of thermogenesis and lipolysis. Used in conjunction with synephrine, octopamine is a potent stimulator of basal metabolic rate.

Caffeine: is a metabolic activator, mild diuretic and increases thermogenesis. Caffeine is a non-selective adenosine receptor antagonist, which increases fat oxidation and mobilizes fat.

Calcium: supplemental calcium reverses increased lipogenesis (the production of fat) by suppressing a hormone called parathyroid hormone (PTH). PTH is responsible for increasing adipocyte calcium levels and by blocking this effect you get greater fat burning and reduced fat buildup in the fat cells.

Fo-ti: is a Chinese herbal obtained from the roots of the polygonum multiflorun. Fo-Ti is well known for its properties as an adaptogen and its purported role in increasing longevity, preventing premature aging and graying hair. More recently, it has been found that fo-ti is a fatty acid synthase inhibitor. Fatty acid synthase is the only enzyme that can generate fats within the cell; all other fat comes from the diet. Green Tea: contains potent antioxidants and components such as epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG). Green tea reduces the absorption of carbohydrates and inhibits the actions of amylase, an enzyme that breaks down sugars. ALCAR: is a derivative of the amino acid carnitine. ALCAR is used to shuttle acetyl groups and nutrients into mitochondria for energy production. The acetyl group from ALCAR can be used to from acetyl-CoA, the most important intermediary in the generation of energy.

Berberine: is a component of the herb Coptidis Rhizoma. Berberine has many actions in the body, including the inhibition of PPAR-gamma receptors.
